Every resident in long-term care has a story worth preserving. This webinar explores how recognizing and sharing residents' life stories can enhance the care experience and foster deeper connections. Learn practical strategies—like legacy journals, storytelling, and personalized engagement—that help caregivers honor residents’ rich histories and contributions. By valuing each individual’s journey, caregivers can create a more meaningful and person-centered care environment.

Event Objectives:

1. Recognize the value of legacy in long-term care and understand the importance of capturing and preserving residents’ personal histories.
2. Identify the impact of honoring legacy on resident well-being and caregiver engagement.
3. Implement practical strategies for legacy preservation and develop programs such as legacy journals, oral histories, and personalized memory boards including how interdisciplinary teams can integrate storytelling into daily care practices.
